System Tray oddiity

My ##**'in system tray has gone outta wack, as seen here...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../tray_only.png

I've tried removing it, moving the clock over, and then adding it again to no avail. Any attempt to move it results in it sliding fully to the left.

Configuring the panel and/or taskbar has not shown me any leads.

What is also not helping (I'm sure) is that I'm on my lappie and using the mouse pad.

Naturally, I'm at my wits end.

Ideas?

I can't quite tell from the image if you're using Gnome or KDE.

if you don't mind loosing your settings you can always get rid of the local user configs
loginto another desktop or plain console (so the files aren't in use)
rm -rf /home/username/.kde
of course you will then have all the default settings

Something similar happened to me (after using gFtp if I recall). Anyway, what worked for me was to just exit X, then restart. Everything went back to normal after that. Good luck with it

Thanks for the tips.

Don't know how/why, but tray reverted to normal behaviour.
