Smart errors on upgrade: packages not found

I keep getting errors about system upgrade that Smart can't find packages on the server so the upgrade never completes.

For some reason it looks like Smart is looking for an older version of the package than what's on the server. I've tried to update it but can't get it to recognize that there's newer packages available.

It looks for:
/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1/i586/kdesdk3-3.5.4-14.8.i586.rpm

and

/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1/i586/kdebase3-3.5.4-63.2.i586.rpm

While
/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1/i586/kdesdk3-3.5.4-14.9.i586.rpm
and
/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1/i586/kdebase3-3.5.4-64.1.i586.rpm

are available?

How do I fix this?

Run:
smart update
as root, this will update all the smart channels. these however may not be the same as the channels Yast uses. Did you install the Suse version of smart? ie From a suse repositoty?

Guess I wasn't clear enough even though I said I've tried to update it. I've run update several times. It won't recognize the newer versions...

I don't even bother with Yast.

Just to confirm, sure you are trying to install from
http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse...ux_10.1/i586/? Repositories changed from http://ftp.suse.com
Have you tried to download rpms from server and manually install?
smart install kde....

mm strange, just tried mine and it's just the same. Must be a repodata error although kdebase3-3.5.4-64.1.i586.rpm is on there.

It would seem to have fixed itself somehow.

I updated for the umpteenth time and then upgraded and it worked. Who knows.
