strange SMART errors


few months ago I've bought new hard drive, WD 80Gb, and everything was ok from beggining, I've check SMART info from time to time, and after some time(maybe after I move my data from old Segate drive and put everything on new drive, I'm not sure on this) I've start to get strange error each time I try to run SMART test. So my question is could this error arise because I'm testing disk which is currently in use as my root partition is on it or this it's HDD fault?
