Amaya and conflicts

I am trying to install Amaya 9.2.2 with Yast and getting the following conflicts. It looks like I have those files, but a different version. I have Suse 9.3 The files I have are
libstdc++.so.5
libstdc++.so.5(CXXABI_1.2)
libstdc++.so.5(CXXABI_1.2.1)
libstdc++.so.5(CXXABI_1.2.2)
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2)
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.1)
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.2)
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.3)
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.4)
libstdc++.so.5(libstdc++.so.5)
libstdc++ = 3.3.5-5

I tried to install it anyway, but it doesn't work. So I Googled and found these http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat...libstdc++.so.6()(64bit), but I couldn't use Yast to install them? Do I have to do this another way?

It looks like you need to compile yourself. You can either compile amaya from source or try to compile the newer version of libstdc++ (which may be more complicated).

You could also try and ignore the conflict. Maybe amaya will also work with your version of libstdc. A very dirty hack would be to create a link called libstdc++.so.6 pointing to the existing version.

I did try to ignore the conflict, but Amaya would not load. I guess I can try to compile Amaya from source, I've done that before, but forget how. I guess directions will be included with the source .
So you think that will give me the libstdc++ files I need?

No, it won't, but it may run with your version of libstdc++.
