Slackware installation on VIA board

Hello,

I`m trying to install Slackware 12.2 on an embedded board VIA EPIA-M with VIA C3 processor which the producer declares good for Linux, I obtain the following message:

This kernel requires the following features not present on the CPU: cmov
Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

The same happens if I try to install Slackware 13.0

If I try to install the kernel huge.s all goes apparently well, but the installation process stops with the gutenberg module.

How can this problem get resolved?
Please help

Hi,

You will have to compile a kernel for the VIA C3 if you wish to use a GNU/Linux distribution. You can create a kernel on another system then copy/move the kernel along with the support to the embed. What about the embed support or tools for GNU/Linux? Which distribution or kernel?
