SCSI Slackware Install

I just started installation of Slackware on a server that has SCSI hard drive. For some reason when I enter CFDISK or FDISK I get messages about opening the drive in read only mode. Partition tables can not be written to the disk.

I have tried the adaptec.s kernel as a boot option, same result.

This is on a Compaq Proliant 800 with Compaq Smart Array 221 Controller rev A v.416

Anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do so Slackware sets up this array controller?

Thanks

Success...

I added raid.s as a boot parameter then it just took a lot of searching to discover that the partitions are located at

ls /dev/ida/c0d0

Had to use cfdisk or fdisk /dev/ida/c0d0 to setup partitions.
