SCSI problem on Slackware 10

I just installed Slackware 10 and I just couldn't make my CD-RW work.
I recompiled the kernel:
Code:
#
# SCSI support
#
CONFIG_SCSI=y
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SD=y
CONFIG_SD_EXTRA_DEVS=40
CONFIG_CHR_DEV_ST=m
CONFIG_CHR_DEV_OSST=m
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SR=y
# CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SR_VENDOR is not set
CONFIG_SR_EXTRA_DEVS=2
CONFIG_CHR_DEV_SG=y
CONFIG_SCSI_DEBUG_QUEUES=y
# CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN is not set
# CONFIG_SCSI_CONSTANTS is not set
# CONFIG_SCSI_LOGGING is not set
and also added in lilo.conf applend "hdc=ide-scsi", but when I try something like:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrom
I receive mount: /dev/scd0 is not a valid block device.
What is the problem?
Could you help me!
Thanks!

hi if your cd-rw is scsi is ok but if you want scsi-emulation for your ide atapi cdr you must compile the kernel with the ide-scsi option
