crazy question re isos versus regular dir

ftp://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slac...kware-10.2-iso

conatins the iso's I need to download -- but the

ftp://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slac...slackware-10.2

contains what?? the whole distro?

Yes (it contains extracted isos). And you need to download the isos (not extracted folders) to install.

Download only:

Disk1:
ftp://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slac...install-d1.iso

Disk2:
ftp://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slac...install-d2.iso

and burn them to CD

Better use torrents (if you have the possibility). It is usually quicker and not valuable server bandwith eating way.
