Question Question about Debian ISOs

Hi all,

I'm downloading the Woody ISOs. And I found there are 7 ISO files. My question is: Are all the ISO files necessary for the installation?

Regards,
Jason

haven't used debian in a few years, but you don't need them all. try the first 2-3. some distros you only need one, and the rest is just a whole bunch of extras. you might want to look in further on the website or wait for somebody thats used Debian - Woody. I think the one time I tried debian was when it was Potato

If you have a good internet connection, you only need disk1 - you can do practically the whole install over the net. Otherwise you will need disks 2+.

The install docs are here and will give more information.

Woody is very old, and about to become obsolete when Sarge is released next month... Afaik even security support is scheduled to start this week for Sarge. Why not try the new debian installer rc1?
