xterm and slackware

Question:
How come when you run xterm in slackware the prompt is: bash-2.05b$. I would rather have the prompt:
username@hostname.

This way I know what directory I'm in without having to type pwd.

Is there an easy way to change this?

Thanks.

That was so easy, I feel kinda dumb for asking.
