Yeah, it seems down. I'm sure it's just some updates.

That's quite normal. It's probably a flood of excited new users snarfing down information about Slack.

Hmmm... Still timing out here.
"The server at www.slackware.com is taking too long to respond"
Try again later - hope all is OK there.

Just tried again, timed out here too. I think the first time it must have loaded a cached copy...

Not being able to get onto slakcware.com also means we are unable to get to your slackbuilds. Is there a mirror?
Thanks.

My SlackBuilds are on connie.slackware.com which is a different server. And yes, multiple mirrors exist, easy to find if you spend a google search.

For quite a long time now (years?) the link from, http://alien.slackbook.org/blog/
to your "My Slack Stuff" has been, http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/
which hasn't worked in a couple of days.
Just FYI.

If any funds are needed, why not organize a kind of "Slack-O-thon" to raise some funds on this forum, I'm quite sure we are several willing to participate more directly than just buying one or two DVDs and a shirt... Plus it might be an occasion to explain the purpose of the funds (buying new server, be sure Pat and co can live for some years... After all we are all Slackers for something, we want Slackware to be in good health.
