I want to know how to get Mozilla or Netscape to use TTF fonts. I really want to use my TTF fonts from WinXP because they make a huge difference. Can someone be kind and give me a step-by-step howto for this?
P.D. I know that I am posting multiple threads about the same issue but I want to get this working and I can't find an anwer.
I'm not in Slack right now () but if I remember it correctly, all I had to do to get my Windows TTF's working was to copy them do /usr/X11/lib/fonts/Truetype...then refresh the font cache...done. I could be wrong about the directory, but a quick look at your XF86Config will reveal it. Hairy solution perhaps, but it works.
XP: nvn is correct on the HOWTO. Did you check in your mozilla preferences/appearance/fonts to see if the new fonts are available? Try running 'fc-cache' either from the CL or pkgtool, then reboot and they should be there.
