Am I to assume that the book that you can purchase from Slackware is the same information that is at the URL:

http://www.slackware.org/book/

If it's not, then I was planning to buy the book.

yeah it is. but you can't download it was one document (one page) so printing is a pain. I like having something to actually read in my hand, not just the soft copy. Also, there is the unofficial slack book project. go to www.distrowatch.com/slack. Check the links section.

I also think that the book is available on disc 3 or 4.
