Question Old Slackware book

I found an HTML version of "Slackware Unleashed" on Kazaa, not long ago. The book is dated 1997. Is it of any use in my naive attempt to tackle version 8.1 as a newbie? Of course, I also have the documentation that came with the disk.

It will have some of the basic concepts also since Slack doesn't move much stuff around so that wouldn't give you any problems, but the only thing would be it might mention outdated software.
