rpm2tgz failed

Well, a strange issue appears to me while trying to install OpenOffice.
Code:
$ rpm2tgz ooobasis3.2-base-3.2.0-9483.i586.rpm
/usr/bin/rpm2tgz: line 119: makepkg: command not found

Hi,

You should run rpm2tgz as root.

Cheers

makepkg is part of pkgtools. I guess it's already installed in your system, or else you cannot install/upgrade/remove Slack packages.
If you don't have pkgtools go ahead and install it.

****EDIT****
Never mind, better think you're root when you are not, than the other way around

Cheers
