rpm2tgz


does slackware come with program that converts rpms to tgz files?
If not then where can i get it? I heard about it from a guy that installed yahoo messenger on his slackware 9.1. Yahoo is only available for redhat, debian, and freebsd

That program should already be installed, if you did a full install...

At least it was included in 9.0 and 9.1.
It works pretty reliably, but is not 100% of course.

It's part of the rpm pkg in the ap/ directory of your installation CD............

320mb provided a link for that pkg if you prefer to download it.............


PS: It's actually a symlink to rpm2targz...........
