RPM packages

Hi,

I'm new to slack,and so far I really love it.I'm trying to install Maya on my slack system.It's a RPM package.Is there a way to install it on slackware?Please explain in in newB-language

The easiest method is to convert the rpm to a slackware tgz package with rpm2targz. This explains it in more detail better than I can:
