popfile run on startup/boot

i'm trying to get popfile to startup on boot in slack 10, i belive i have to use a script to start the program but i've no idea where to start i've seen scripts to load popfile as a service with stop and start option but these seem to be distro specific, any advice?

It's not necessary to use a script, just run it in /etc/rc.d/rc.local
if you want to kill just use ps and then kill the corresponding program.
Scripts usually do that for you.
