Okay to use Kpackage?

Is it okay to use Kpackage? I've been using Kpackage, swaret, and pkgtool ever since I got my system up and running. I'm wondering if using Kpackage instead of pkgtool would cause problems.

I'm only asking because most guides give you a whole bunch of crap to do whenever you go to install an RPM, or a tgz. I always think: "You go and do that. I'll use Kpackage and be done 9 times sooner." Is taking this shortcut dangerous in any way?

Not that I know of. Using it to install RPMs on Slackware won't be very neat, but if you stick to TGZs you should be fine.

As far as I can tell, Kpackage just acts like a package tools gui front end in Slackware. I've never tried to install an RPM with it or anything. I use it for quick installs / removes, but use upgradepkg for upgrades.
