KPackage

I am trying to install VMware on top of a previous installation, but it keeps telling me it is already installed. I manually went in and deleted out the Vmware files, yet it still gives me the same complaint. Does anyone know where KPacker holds its database of installed files. That is the only way I can think of to correct my problems.
