Need good guide to setup wordpress on slackware current

Hi, i am a long-time slacker but completely new to setting up webservers and mysql stuff.

do you know of any good write-up on installing wordpress on slackware? one that assumes total noobness and is not completely outdated.

i did try a few but begin to run out of hairs to pull out

I don't, but my LEMP on Slackware guide (for nginx) and MrGoblin's LAMP on Slackare guide (for Apache) should get you through setting up the web server, MySQL and PHP. All of which you need set up before you start setting up Wordpress.

Once you get the LAMPP server working, WordPress has excellent installation instructions in its docs.

I know how good those instructions are from my own experience; I was a rank newb when I followed them and set up Slackware 10.0 so I could self-host my website and a WordPress blog. I'm no longer self-hosting, but I'm still using Slackware and the blog is still driveling along.

Thanks all! I got it working now. Apparently I made a typo when setting in wordpress password at the mariaDB prompt.
