Mail server question/help

OK i know this isn't specifically a Slackware issue but, slack is my poison of choice, so here is where i thought i'd start.

so to the question:

i have multiple pop3 mail accounts courtesy of my isp, what i would like to do (if possible) is have my slack machine connect to my isp and login to each pop3 account and download the mail, then on my local network i would like to connect to the slack machine and collect my e-mail using whichever pop3 mail reader i like. so is this possible? and if yes how? what software do i need? and do you have examples of config's?

any help would be very much appreciated.

I believe that fetchmail might be what you're looking for, I think it's on the CDs.

Postfix is way easier to configure than sendmail, qmail is also really good, and fast too.
