lilo.conf troble

when i edit lilo.conf there are 2 sets of informantion, one for booting DOS, and one for booting Linux.

image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hda2
label = Linux

to test things out i changed "label = Linux" to "label = Slack" but when i start my computer it still displays "DOS" and "Linux" as my only 2 choices. am i doing anything wrong, or not doing something?

Every time you make changes to your lilo.conf you have to run lilo.

do you mean; run the command "lilo" or do you mean; run lilo using a command that you havent said cause you assumed i know?

From a command line, run the following command:

lilo

He did say the command.
