k3b cdrecord error 254


hi

i use 14.2 64bit with kde4.
and k3b gives me headaches. while starting burning a dvd-iso, the errormessage appears

"cdrecord returned an unknown error (code 254)

what i did so far:
i am in the group cdrom

hald and similar on Linux are known to be such software, kill it.

drive from being able to report the current media state. Note that this

I love Linux for the variety of options, when I tried and tried to get K3B working but could not dd, Brasero or others did...

okay..thanks for the links. i know them. anyway...any suggestions how to overcome this problem in k3b ?

okay...fixed

installed cdrkit from slackbuilds.
beforehand you must deinstall cdrtools.
