huge.s kernel image and wireless usb keyboard

Hi

I have a kit, mouse+keyboard and I installed them on a slack server box so I could roam around the room. Everything is ok, just that the standard kernel in setup when it boots it does not gets the keyboard working (dont need a mouse although it's there, use it more as a battery recharger)

I chose the huge.s kernel which worked for the keyboard but now I want to recompile the kernel by hand, so I want to know exactly what kernel module got the keyboard going since I dont own a PS/2 and can't afford to boot into my system without a keyboard.

Anyone knows the kernel module? My keyboard it's a USB Genius ErgoMedia R710, but I doubt it matters.

T.

I do not know the specific answer but I have a usb wireless keyboard and that works fine with the generic kernel and my own kernel which is simply a generic config compiled for the athlon.

You ought to be able to set lilo/grub with the option to boot either kernel so if the generic fails you can easliy revert to huge.

You might try that and then have a look at what modules are being loaded. Someone that knows more than I will have to tell you how to do that.

'lsmod' will tell you what modules are loaded
