Gnome2 Packages out

Did any of you find the Gnome2 tgz packages, or shall I compile it from source? I'm just asking....
And btw... should I remove Gnome 1.4 if I install Gnome2?

I've found it here: ftp://ftp.slackware.pl/slackware/packages/GNOME2/ , but I have had problem.

It looks like it installed fine, but my gnome 1.4 file were installed in /usr/bin and not /opt/gnome.... so how do I remove gnome1.4 from the path?
