gnome installation help required

Im trying to install gnome which exists in the cd 2 of slackware 10 . In the directory /gnome appears a file install-packages* . If you execute like
./install-packages prompts a menu of the gnome elements libraries and tools . Ok now there must be a way to install all the files at once instead of doing installpkg for every file

any hint ???

Thank You .

Sorry I can't help with fixing it but those two errors are your problems .. I guess you are useing mostly a GUI and expecting to be able to shutdown it will turn your computer off but it just sits there (APM dose that) Yea sounds like your graphics card isn't setup right .. how bad is your seed if you coment out the load glx. or see what you can get to have the nvidia drivers work. and remeber to install the nvidia drivers you need to completely shutdown X and install from the command line the installer won't work if you have X running. Hope you get someone who knows more about those problems then I do.

I would recommend that you try running xorgsetup to configure X. glx is used if you have the nvidia driver installed. You are calling the nv driver which is built in to X. It doesn't do 3d so no glx.
