I have my CVS server set up for network connections with password authentication. Setup is pretty easy, and basically consists of creating a repository, editing /etc/inetd.conf, and editing /etc/services. Follow the instructions in the cederqvist manual available online at http://www.cvshome.org/docs/manual/c...s_2.html#SEC29 . CVS does not run as a daemon (i.e. a constantly running process.) Instead, inetd takes care of running it when a connection to the CVS port (2401) is received.
