booting slackware 11 via grub

i am trying to set up a multi boot system containing several linux distros.

i installed slackware 11 from the DVD using the Sata.i kernel and the install all option (all groups except kdei)

my system specs are as follows.

ASUS M2N-SLI DELUXE motherboard (NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP chipset)

AMD 64 X2 4600+ procssor

2GB PC 6400 DDR2 Ram (dual channel)

NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS 512MB GDR3

WD 320G SATA HDD

my kernel is vmlinuz-ide-2.4.33.3

I allready have suse 10.2 on another partition so i allready have grub in the MBR.

what should be my grub settings be to boot slackware?

i have / as sda1 and /home as sda9 with swap on sda2
my /etc/fstab being
Code:
/dev/sda2 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/sda1 / ext3 defaults 1 1
/dev/sda9 /home ext3 defaults 1 2
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom auto noauto,owner,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0

Code:
title Slackware 11.0
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda1 ro
You can of course specify the excact name instead of vmlinuz which probably is a symlink to your kernel.
If you were using a initrd file you had to append one extra line like:

Code:
initrd (hd0,0)/boot/initrd <-- or initrd.gz or what you have on your system

thanks for that, i can now boot my slackware system...

now i have just got to work out how to set the parameters perminantly without the extra b******t that suse automaticly adds
any idea where the grub config files normally live?

having a bit of trouble with my wireless keyboard and mouse but i will post that in another thread as it is nothing to do with grub...

Grub looks for the menu.lst in /boot/grub/ (that's the default path AFAIK) which should be on your SuSE / root partition.
