xhost + doesn't work in Fedora?

I have a Solaris 2.6 box running an application called MGTS (Telecommunications software).

I redirected the display to my Fedora box (with export DISPLAY={IP_OF_FEDORA}:0.0, but the Solaris machine says that it cannot open the display.

(Yes I have run the command xhost + on my Fed box.)

Any ideas?

I assume that the Fedora box has X running? If you are at runlevel 3, but that is obvious, and probably not the problem. Perform a
tail -f /var/log/messages
on the Fedora box while trying to connect. Also, are you RSH/TELNET/SSH into the Solaris machine from the Feb machine, then redirecting back, or are you on the Solaris machine and trying to 'push' the display to the Fed machine?
