Question How P IV system work fast with Red Hat Linux 8, I recompile the kernel also.

My system with P IV and 256 ram is fastest for my all type of os like win 98 to win 2003. But when come to the matter of Linux it is to much slow.

I feel as if iam working with 386 mach. I also recompile the kernel and checked for the difference but i did no dif.

Is that the problem with the distribution (Red Hat Linux) or with my mach.

Please give me the sugestion fo the same.

Thanks
