FC4: ptal printing failure HP PSC 1510

All,

After installing my new HP PSC 1510, CUPS printed perfectly. In my haste to also be able to use the scanner, I downloaded hpoj (ptal) and all the dependencies. Since running "ptal-init setup", nothing prints. It *thinks* it prints fine, but nada. With several reports due tomorrow, I would like to know how to either remove all the 'ptal' stuff and return to CUPS, or a shure-fire way to make ptal function properly.

It seems that hpoj-devel.i386 was not originally downloaded as a dependency file, and now, mysteriously both printing and scanning seems to function (although I have not rebooted...). Thanks to any who were considering a reply to ease my woes.
