tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors


Hi ! Linux Expert

I have a problem with my tar backup. Appreciate if anyone can help.

I am using the following multi archieve backup command.
tar -cMpf /dev/nst0 $SerPath$DIR


At the very end I received "tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors" then the backup process stop there.

The screen appear as follow:

tar: mnt/wallace-d/AusDepts/UIUMktg/Sha/Time Report/Sha/Spherion Seminar PPT Files/pres1.ppt: file changed as we read it
tar: mnt/wallace-d/AusDepts/UIUMktg/Sha/Upper Iowa University/Auston International College PP 112901.ppt: file changed as we read it
tar: mnt/wallace-d/AusDepts/UIUMktg/Sha/Website/Statue of Liberty, Photography, Pictures, Photos, by Photovault_files/CNYV04P14_01.tn.jpg: file changed as we read it
tar: mnt/wallace-d/AusDepts/UIUMktg/Sharon/Personal/jerry05_jpg.bmp: file changed as we read it

Well are the error messages true? Have the files changed?

Also, this is nothing to do with programming at all, please choose your forum more carefully next time...

Sory ! If place in the wrong place of forum.

Can anybody tell me where should I post the forum so that people don't get annoyed.

Sorry again ! I am just a poor newbie trying to swim in linux ocean. (mhen ! don't understand why linux is better than window)
