Hi

I use tar to backup my 9G data on Redhat 7.3 box, I take backup on tape drive(/dev/st1).
At the end of the tar, tar spits out following messages.

/bin/tar: home/perforce/log/journal: file changed as we read it
/bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

The 1st error is explainable, that is "journal" file migh have got changed during backingup, however I am not sure about second message. So I tried resporing the backup on a temporary location and randomly selected few directories and file to varify. The backup seems to be fine, however I didnt varified whole 9G data.

is it safe to ignore this error message?

What is this mesage means?

The first message is the error message itself, the second tells you there has been an error.....

So, in this case it's save to ignore this message.
