Unhappy illegal seek


HI all,
i am new to he linux and i have problem with my code,during socket read wnd wirte it showing " illegal seek " error
i donot know how to currect it.

Please tell us what distro you have, what lang you are using & show us the code and the exact error msg.

It's not possible to do lseek() or fseek() call on sockets. Remove the lseek() or fseek() calls from your program.

If there's a rewind(), get rid of it as well. Any file cursor positioning command will generate that error.

hi
i am using c code. just sending and recving to and from the socket.
it is in a loop, "first client will sen and server will recieve" then reverse. there it showing the error, during read.

hi
there is no lseek or fseek but only read but still showing the error

no rewind used. it a program to just read and write to and from the socket. during read it showing the error
