how to find out shared object or ELF binay compiled with -fPIC
Hello All,
How can i find whether the given ELF binary or shared object has been compiled using -fpic or -fPIC options? Is there any way to find this information?
file is based on magic numbers and other guessing; not a full analysis of the file. As far as I know, it won't provide the information required.

objdump -R might be a start. It seems to show a few internal symbols with non-PIC files and all symbols with PIC files. I don't think it distinguishes between the flags, though (the differences probably have more to do with compilation.)
