I am working through the wine installation and configuration and I am stuck
with the Wine users guide at 5.5.1 which says to add unhide to the cdroms in
etc/fstab. i have installed from Man 9.2 rc2 the wine and the config file appears to be OK.

Problem in Man 9.2 appears when you look at the file the disks appear as:

none /mnt/cdrom supermount dev=/dev/scd0,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-15 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom2 supermount dev=/dev/scd1,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-15 0 0
none /mnt/floppy supermount dev=/dev/fd0,fs=ext2:vfat,--,iocharset=iso8859-15,sync,umask=0,codepage=850 0 0

Does this mean the discs have been deleted from fstab with the none prefix.

Can I ignore the wine users guide, so does the supermount take care of this?

Anyone, got wine working in Man9.2 with the cdroms?

It will work with those fstab entries unless you happen to have a program you want to install that has hidden files on the CD that are used during installation. You would then need to use the unhide option. Your fstab entries look like mine and it worked on my computer with Wine... but Wine was so buggy, it wasn't worth the trouble installing really, but if you got nothing better to do, knock yourself out.
