Question NO CDROM DEVICE FOUND - error Installing Mandrake 10.1

Hi,
I'm trying to install mandrake 10.1 in my new PC IBM S51 Model 8171-MSA. mandrake CD1 boots ok but when start to find device, it shows me an error like "NO CDROM DEVICE FOUND". then shows other screen to select a driver with other option kernel parameters, no one works. I''ve try with floppy image and other options and parameters but i've got nothing. I think that my Hard disc is SATA and CDROM is IDE but i'm not sure because I don't want to lose the warranty.

I'm searching by google to solve it but i just find people with the same problem without answer.

Can somebody help us?

[edit if you search LQ for intel 915G you will see you need to tweak
the legacy option for the sata controller]

Based on 8171-IHU: Intel® Pentium® 4 2.93GHz (1MB), 533MHz FSB, 256MB, 80GB 7200RPM S-ATA HDD, PCI Small Form Factor (2x3), Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900, 48x CD-ROM, Broadcom 10/100/1000 Ethernet

Intel 915G chipset

Sounds like your equipment is too new
try mandy 10.2 (LE 2005), or 2006, or try suse 10.0 (maybe 9.3)

I say that because a different model to the MSA sates

IBM ThinkCentre S51 8171-3AU
