I'm trying to install mandrake 9.0 on an all intel system, p4, 845 chipset, and I get the error, No cdrom device found. I'm new to linux and was wondering if anyone could help me.
thanks
Some additional info would be helpful. At what point of the install process do you get the error? Are you installing from a CD, or a floppy?
If you tried to install from a CD and the system failed to boot the install CD so you created a install boot floppy and got this error, then you probably have an unsupported CD - assuming that your CD drive was working before you started the install.
