You can try The Linux Electronic Mail Administrator HOWTO at http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Mail-Administrator-HOWTO.html.

To learn just about postfix, type "info postfix" at a command prompt.

sorry, don't know too much myself.

Get a good book like "Linux Unleashed" to study as well as the HOWTO's at the linux documentation project. Studying goes a long way.

Can you give more specifics on what you want to do with the mail server?

Smile thanx

Thanx guys for reply,

well, I know that it takes some time to learn. But I'm stucked, because I don't understand much how mail server works so i can go forward.
I've read howto one of u recomended to me.Thanx.I'm understanding more.
I just didn't know how it works.

Why i need mail server?

Because i know someone is reading my emails. It sucks.Hate it!

I even can't get emails from one of my friends. When i send it she's recieving it but i can't get her emails.Isn't wierd?

So I started learning myself about linux and found out about mail servers, which are fast and most important "secure".

What i know that i need domain name,is any free? What else i need?

Thanx
