Linux semi-newbie and Wine vary newbie


I have been using linux for awhile and learning a great deal, but I am always looking for ways to improve my linux box. One project I am on, is "wine" if anyone can give me some pointers please let me know and thanks ahead of time.

My point being

The question I was basicly asking is does anyone have any pointers for the program "wine". I am trying to figure it out, but running into some stumbling blocks!!

i can tell you how i set up wine if that helps
i download and use this
http://sidenet.ddo.jp/winetips/config.html
then choose manual install and install everything
read the readme for the extra stuff you need to download
this leaves a very functonal fake win 98 setup when it's done
also just look at
http://sidenet.ddo.jp/winetips/
