I was gonna change he names of my boot options in lilo, so i went into the /etc/lilo.conf file and changed them to what i wanted. I the went into /sbin and ran "lilo" but when i do that I get an error: Fatal: Default image doesn't exist. Not sure why it says that. Here's my lilo.conf:

map=/boot/map
default="linux"
keytable=/boot/us.klt
prompt
nowarn
timeout=100
message=/boot/message
menu-scheme=wb:bw:wb:bw

I have no problems booting into windows XP or mandrake 9.2, I just can't update my lilo config for some reason. If anyone has any ideas, on how to fix this I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks.

The line
default=linux
tells lilo to look for a stanza that includes a line
label="linux"
with your changes, no stanza has this line
you probably want to replace your existing default line to read
default=Mandrake.9.2

AH HA! Thanks for the help idaho. I'll let ya know if it works when i get home tonight and implement that.

Remember to run

/sbin/lilo

after you've made the changes to lilo.conf.
