I've noticed i'm not the only one who have had problems login as root. A week ago i got help at this forum to login as root on my other machine (running v7.0 without X installed). The solution was to edit /etc/securetty and add the terminals which allowed root login.
However, editing that file was not enough on my 9.1 system. I also had to edit /etc/bastille-no-login and remove 'root' - which was the only line in that file. This worked perfectly! I now could login as root in Gnome
My problem: There is obviously some system maintenance scripts that reset my changes to those files, cuz when i try to login the next day (or just a couple of hours later) all my changes are undone. How can i prevent this from happening?
