Your own custom distribution? Some special value add? I'm not sure there's any particular forum here for the purpose of selling a commercial distribution.
There is no space on the forum at this time for the buying/selling of goods. You should also note that historically it is difficult to sell pre-burned copies of CDs/DVDs as with high speed internet access and access to inexpensive media this means that people will be reluctant to spend money. It may be better if you do some market research and look at being a reseller of media. Then again, maybe there is a bit of a market in your area.
I am moving this to LQ Suggestions and Feedback as this seems to be more of a question about LQ than a call for advice on your plans!
some software you might have issues with actually selling
Now this is not to be confused with a few dollar fee for the dvd and for burning -- that is fine
Redhat and SUSE do not SELL the software they SELL the software SUPPORT !!!!!
That is a very BIG difference
GPL 2 you can sell
some gpl3 you can NOT
MIT license YOU CAN NOT !!!!!!!!!!! sell
but you can sell your services as a consultant to SUPPORT the software
Just so the OP isn't confused I'd like to clarify and correct a few points made.

This is true.

Incorrect. You can sell GPLv3 software unmodified commercially. If you sell modified versions commercially as per the GPLv3 you must provide the source of the modifications. Same applies to the GPLv2. (source section 10 GPLv3)

Incorrect. You can sell MIT licensed software commercially (though some people modify the MIT license which make it no longer the case but in that case it is no longer the MIT license). Not only can you sell MIT licensed software but if you modify it you don't need to tell others what you modified and can distribute your modifications in binary form and only include a copy of the original license. MIT is more "corporate friendly" because companies enjoy taking open source work, modifying it, and then selling a product without releasing what they modified for competitors to see (or who knows the reason). (source MIT License)

Consulting and support is almost always the way to go I agree. However, you can pull a distro off the Internet and sell it for $150 if you want. I doubt anyone would buy it but you definitely could. Usually people sell it for $150 and provide the added value of a support contract for the end user ("it" being any Linux distro whatever it might be).
Though be careful which distros you choose to sell because sometimes it can be bundled with proprietary software that places restrictions on sale and use. In that scenario, you may not sell it. I have no solid examples of that but google will offer you plenty of distros you can buy which likely have such clauses.
The points brought up, as well as the original statement/question involving the terms "extra money" as well as "eBay" are what are giving me pause. Hence my leading question about value add or customized distribution. I'm not going to try and make direct statements about things which one can't do; especially considering that a person is likely going to try to do things so long as they feel it will be personally profitable to them.
Overall my moral compass here is saying "questionable" idea, all for a "potential" few bucks. You can quote PT Barnum all you want regarding suckers, but I think you need to put in a great showing to convince either numerous persons to part with small money, or few persons to part with large money if you haven't done something really different than grabbed a free distribution and provided something useful above and beyond what they can already download.
Hello, thanks for your answers.... First my user name liverpoolynwa is because I'm a supporter of Liverpool FC the football team and YNWA stands for the team's song you'll never walk alone......it's not in any way related to my personality...
Thanks for your answers and I think it's correct that since high speed internet access is dominant these days, nly a few depend n pre burned CDs or DVDs... Thanks
