Lost Access To My Account

Hello LQ!

I used to be 'carlosinfl' on LQ. This was the 1st site I registered on when I ventured into the dark & scary world of Linux back in 2002. I tried to recover my 'carlosinfl' account via email however it appears I had some outdated profile info and it didn't recognize my email accounts.

So, this brings me to opening this new user account. I feel bad because I feel like I lost so much archived info I often reference from time/time && I miss my rep and other account related info.

Is there a way I can recover that account some how?

??? The user carlosnifl has been active recently and his profile is available.

If your email to get back your password has changed you could just report one of your last posts (posted as calosinfl) and request a moderator to help solve you that issue.

PS to be accurate carlosinfl registered on 15-05-04. And, a few days late: Happy Birthday To You.

I think the email is linked to my old personal domain which I no longer have access to. I believe I was recently active but I'm on a new system and lost the credentials and my ability to recover them.

Then you should definitely request help from a moderator, in my opinion. You could just click "Report" on your last post to do that. Of course in the message indicate your new email address and preferably a mean to prove that you are the user behind calosinfl (I guess that moderators are careful not to transfer a user account to someone else that the person who opened it, just changing the email associated to that account).
