SUSE 9.1 Wireless Net Card Wont Start On Boot

I hope you can help me with this NDISWRAPPER issue. Having deinstalled the LINUXANT network driver for my Belkin Wireless Network Card to try NDISWRAPPER (didn't want to pay for LINUXANT) I am now having a problem where the driver wont load on boot up but loads fine after boot up using "iwconfig wlan0".

Any help you can supply in getting this working on boot would be very much appreciated. As much information as I can think of supplying follows.

Start mode is set to BOOT in iwcfg-wlan0 and all other setting appear to be correct. If I watch the boot messages I see the text:

lo 127.0.0.1
Waiting for mandatory device wlan0
wlan0 interface could not be setup

Entries in the system log read:

Jul 3 17:17:24 Upstairs nmbd[2297]: [2004/07/03 17:17:24, 0] lib/interface.c:load_interfaces(220)
Jul 3 17:17:24 Upstairs nmbd[2297]: WARNING: no network interfaces found

This message is repeated every 5 seconds.

On issuing "iwconfig wlan0" the following messages are recorded in the system log:

Jul 3 17:48:36 Upstairs kernel: ndiswrapper: unsupported module, tainting kernel.
Jul 3 17:48:36 Upstairs kernel: ndiswrapper version 0.8 loaded
Jul 3 17:48:37 Upstairs kernel: ndiswrapper adding bcmwl5.sys
Jul 3 17:48:37 Upstairs kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 0000:00:0d.0
Jul 3 17:48:37 Upstairs kernel: wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device 00:30:bd:f1:60:5c using driver bcmwl5.sys
Jul 3 17:48:38 Upstairs kernel: NET: Registered protocol family 17
Jul 3 17:48:39 Upstairs nmbd[2297]: [2004/07/03 17:48:39, 0] lib/interface.c:load_interfaces(220)
Jul 3 17:48:39 Upstairs nmbd[2297]: WARNING: no network interfaces found
Jul 3 17:48:43 Upstairs modify_resolvconf: Service dhcpcd modified /etc/resolv.conf. See info block in this file
Jul 3 17:48:44 Upstairs ifup-wireless: command 'iwconfig wlan0 channel 5' returned
Jul 3 17:48:44 Upstairs kernel: wlan0: setting configuration failed (00010003)
Jul 3 17:48:44 Upstairs ifup-wireless: Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) :
Jul 3 17:48:44 Upstairs ifup-wireless: SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.
Jul 3 17:48:49 Upstairs kernel: wlan0: no IPv6 routers present

From there on in the card works fine.

If I run "demesg" it returns:

ndiswrapper: unsupported module, tainting kernel.
ndiswrapper version 0.8 loaded
ndiswrapper adding bcmwl5.sys
