Question Setting up a wireless LAN

Hi All,
I am using a laptop with Fedora Core 9 installed on it.
It is connected to internet thorough a direct wired connection(ethernet). This laptop has another wireless n/w adaptor as well.

Is it possible to setup a wireless n/w, so that I can use the internet connection through another machine (which also has a wireless n/w card)?
Any pointers how to proceed?

Thanks
Sanjay

I have heard of this, but have never tried it.

Google says:

Personally, I would just buy a wireless router. Then, you can remove either computer and have the other still work.

You are jumping in the middle of an unrelated thread--this will not get you a lot of responses---much better to start a new thread (but search first).

Sir?? how about the women here?
"as soon as possible" is defined here as "whenever we get around to it". With some members, it means "go take a nap first".....

Unhappy

Couldn't still setup my windows laptop to access net through linux(fc9) laptop's internet connection (ethernet to externet n/w).
But I found this link useful (atleast it describes what I want to achieve .
http://www.fs-security.com/docs/connection-sharing.php

Currently I am facing a strange problem.
- If I connect my windows desktop directly (ethernet) to externel n/w (internet), it happily gets an ip, gateway, dns etc through dhcp and works fine.

_ When I try to connect my linux deskop to the same externel n/w, it gets a complete different set of ip, subnet-mask, gateway, dns etc. and I am also not able to access internet. I am literally lost for any logical reason, but still trying .

Will give another try in the evening?
Meanwhile, any suggestion, pointers are most welcome.

Sanjay
