Question How to remove prism54

I am running ubuntu linux on an IBM Thinkpad r40e, with a 3com 3CRWE154G72 PCMCIA wireless network adapter. After fiddling about for some time, I finally got the wifi up with ndiswrapper.

Now, there is only one trouble bugging me. On boot, the prism54 module is loaded automatically, while ndiswrapper is not. Every time I start up my computer, I have to manually remove prism54 and add ndiswrapper, and ifup wlan0.
Is there any way to uninstall prism54, or at least load the ndiswrapper module instead?

I'm sort of a to linux, but you could try ndiswrapper -m in the root terminal.
thats supposed to load the module on boot. but that method is only for pre 2.6 kernels

if you have a kernel that is 2.6 or newer you have to open /etc/sysconfig/kernel file and add the line

MODULES_LOADED-ON-BOOT="ndiswrapper"

to remove prisim54, my guess would be to remove the line in that file that says MODULES_LOADED-ON-BOOT="prism54"

hope that helps!
