Hi All,

I have NetGear WG511. I was trying to install prism54. I stoped at the following error message:

Install: cannot stat 'ksrc/prism54.ko : no such file or directory.

Please help.

hi, prism54.ko should be under 'drivers/net/wireless/prism54/' folder under the src tree.
i guess it is reading the starting directory wrong? did it give u the right path when it asked about the path to the kernel and libs? (sorry, dont remember exactly, as i had done this qiuite a long time ago ...)

and im sure u have gone through this (?):

Well, all I did was followed the ReadMe file which came with prism54. It's the same as the file you refered to.

I stoped after this step:

make KDIR=/path/to/kernel/linux-2.x.x/ clean modules
# as root
make KDIR=/path/to/kernel/linux-2.x.x/ install
depmod -a

What would you recommend me to do to fix this error? I am a noob and don't have full comprehension of Linux directories. If you like, I can copy and paste my terminal so you can point out my mistake if that's possible.

Thanks in advance.
