Question Getting a wireless network setup on FC3

Hi there,

I am relatively new to Linux, so please be kind

I recently installed Fedora Core 3, it was great, a simple easy installation, no problems. Now i want to get it online. This is where i xame to a halt.

I have a wireless network card jammed into a PCI slot in my machine, and a wireless network in the other room, on windows the internet is great, perfect connection, everything is good. However i cant get it set up on Linux.

I have been guided to resources such as ndsiwrapper and MadWifi. I have "googled around" to no avail. Please can somebody guide me on my way or provide me with clear instructions as to how i can setup the internet.

I have no idea what my ESSID or SSID is, i hadn't even heard of it till i researched into this., is there a way for me to find it? Or dont i even need it?

Please help me, i really want to get Fedora onine

Thanks in advance,

Sarah
